Chocolate Star Peanut Butter Cookies

      1 3/4   cups Flour
          1   teaspoon baking soda
        1/2   teaspoon salt
        1/2   cup shortening, CRISCO
        1/2   cup peanut butter, creamy
        1/2   cup sugar, confectioner's
        1/2   cup brown sugar
          1   whole egg
          2   tablespoons milk
          1   teaspoon vanilla extract
        1/2   package Hershey's Chocolate Stars, (6 oz/Batch)

  Bake at 375° for 8 minutes---then another 2-5 minutes more


  Mix all ingredients.  Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.  Roll into
  sugar--place on ungreased cookie sheets. 

  Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place milk chocolate candy
  kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around edge. 
  Return to oven and bake 2-5 minutes longer.
